Scratcher/hundred grid knife for determining adhesion of paint film
Model: BC-QGQ-004
Applicable fields
Baige knife is an essential adhesion testing instrument for paint manufacturers and surface treatment manufacturers.
Applicable standards
1. Designed and manufactured according to the ISO 2409:2007- Paints and Varnishes - Cross cut test for paints and varnishes.
2. Applicable to:
GB/T 4893.4-2013 Furniture surface paint film physical and chemical performance test Part 4: Adhesion cross cutting determination method;
GBT9286-1998 Cross cut Test for Paint Films of Colored and Clear Coatings;
BS 3900-E6-1992 Test Methods for Coatings Episode E: Mechanical Testing of Coating Films Part 6: Grid cutting test;
ASTM D3359-17 Standard Test Methods for Rating Adhesion by Tape Test。
Testing principle
The hundred grid knife uses a tool of a certain specification to cut and penetrate the coating in a grid pattern. The completed pattern is classified into six levels to evaluate the resistance of the coating to separation from the substrate. Mainly applicable for determining the adhesion of organic coatings using the grid cut method. Not only suitable for laboratories, but also for construction sites under various conditions.
