The JM-V abrasion tester is manufactured based on the testing parameters of GB/T1768 paint film abrasion resistance, while also taking into account the testing parameters of GB/T17657 for wood abrasion resistance as much as possible, providing a versatile abrasion resistance testing method. It is suitable for laboratory testing of the wear resistance of various coatings, such as deck paint, floor paint, road paint, etc; It can also be used for the wear resistance of paper, plastic, textiles, decorative panels, etc. The instrument is driven by a stepper motor, programmable control, and displays the working parameters and progress status of the instrument on the LCD screen. Easy to operate, reliable in performance, and flexible and convenient to use.

If the user has special requirements for the grinding wheel speed when placing an order, it can also be met by modifying the programming parameters. Different materials of grinding wheels can also be used for different requirements of the tested samples.

Main principles

The wear tester is a device that contacts two grinding wheels at a specified distance with a specimen template installed on a horizontal turntable, and ensures that the central axis of the two grinding wheels is not in the same plane as the central axis of the turntable. When the turntable rotates, the left worn grinding wheel generates friction from the outside towards the center of the template surface, while the right worn grinding wheel generates friction from the center of the template surface towards the outside. When the turntable rotates continuously, a series of intersecting circular friction marks in a mesh shape are formed on the surface of the template. By adopting this wear arrangement, the surface of the sample is subjected to friction in all directions, avoiding obvious directional defects in the friction of the wear tester that moves back and forth in one direction, making the wear evaluation more objective.

The JM-V wear tester is driven by a stepper motor, which avoids the speed changes caused by voltage fluctuations in the power grid and greatly improves the stability of the instrument's working speed, making the evaluation of wear testers more comparable.

Usage and maintenance

1. Preparation before startup:

⑴ Adjust the horizontal position of the calibration instrument, the switch should be in the "off" position, and then plug in the power supply. Note that the grounding terminal on the power socket must be connected to the ground wire.

⑵ Plug in the vacuum cleaner plug and insert the jokingly named hose into the vacuum cleaner interface on the left side of the instrument. Adjust the height of the vacuum tube (loosen the bolt on the back of the main unit) so that the vacuum nozzle is 1-2mm away from the sample surface. After adjustment, tighten the bolt.

When installing a worn grinding wheel, it is necessary to first loosen the fixing nut of the grinding wheel, wipe off the dust on the shaft, and then install the grinding wheel that meets the requirements and tighten the nut.

Install the required load weight at the front end of the pressure arm.

When placing the test sample, first loosen the nut on the turntable, remove the washer, and install the test sample; Insert the washer and tighten the nut; Gently lower the pressure arm and lower the vacuum tube at the same time.

Add a balance weight to the pin shaft at the end of the pressure arm:

Balance weight weight=Grinding wheel weight - Pin shaft weight 20g

For example, if the weight of the grinding wheel is 28g, a balance weight of 8g needs to be added (the pin shaft has been fixed on the instrument)

2. Run:

When the power switch is turned on, the buzzer emits a "beep" sound, indicating that the instrument is functioning properly during self inspection.

⑵ Then display "Welcome to use, thank you for cooperation" on the LCD screen.

The default speed of this machine is 60r/min. If you want to adjust the operating speed to 70r/min, just press the "speed selection" button once. If you press the button again, the operating speed will return to 60r/min

The number keys on the button correspond to the hundreds of digits of the set number of turns, and the numbers are entered sequentially. The buzzer will beep every time a digit is inputted, indicating that the input is valid, otherwise it is invalid. If you find that the input number is incorrect, please press the "Set Reset" button, and the number after "Set Circles" will be immediately canceled. If the input is confirmed to be correct, please press the "Run" button, and the turntable will immediately start. For each rotation, the "Number of Rotation" will automatically increase by 1. When the number of rotations is the same as the set number, the turntable will automatically stop rotating. At this moment, the buzzer emits an alarm sound of "beep beep beep beep beep", and the "cumulative times" automatically increase by 1. The "running cycles" will automatically reset to zero when starting next time. This counting method is particularly suitable for multiple cycles of repeated operation of the wear tester. For example, if there are 15 cycles of 500 rotations, as long as "15" is displayed in the "number of runs" section, it indicates that 15 cycles have been completed according to the "set number of rotations". Do not manually count.

⑸ "Set zeroing", "Number zeroing", and "Number zeroing" can respectively clear the numbers in "Set number of circles", "Number of operating circles", and "Number of operating times". If the "stop" button is pressed during operation, the turntable will immediately stop. Retain the originally set number and the number of cycles that have already been run. To continue working, simply press the "Run" button, and the machine will continue to run until the set number of turns is reached.

3. Attention:

After the test is completed, the power should be cut off, the instrument should be cleaned, and the instrument should be covered.

When not in use for a long time, the grinding wheel should be removed and placed properly.

⑶ Maintenance and refueling must be carried out once every one to two years.
